The Idaho National Laboratory has developed a patented light weight, mechanically strong cermet filter that can be used in reducing NOX and SOx engine emissions. The cermet filter is manufactured from inexpensive starting materials, has a high melting point (>1500o C), and is thermally shock resistant. Bench scale tests have shown high particulate filtration efficiency and the ability for self-cleaning. The INL is seeking collaboration with qualified industrial firm(s) to advance development, testing/qualification, and deployment. This research is not currently funded programmatically and interested firm(s) would be required to provide funding to advance development. Field of use license(s) to intellectual property covering this technology are available. Interested companies should provide an expression of interest in the form of a letter and/or e-mail within sixty (60) days of this announcement. Technical Contact: Peter C.
