Alejandro Aranda might not have won “American Idol” as many fans expected, but the singer-songwriter who focused on original songs on the show isn’t letting that slow him down post-show.
Aranda, 24, of Pomona, announced seven tour dates on Tuesday including shows at the Glass House in his hometown on July 17 and the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles two nights earlier on July 15.
Aranda performed seven different original songs over the course of the competition, wowed the judges and fans, and inspired a huge amount of hometown pride when he returned to Pomona to tape a visit for “American Idol.”
The rest of the July tour includes performances at DC9 in Washington D.C. on July 8, Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, N.Y. on July 9, Sonia’s Nightclub in Boston on July 11, Subterranean on July 11, and the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco on July 13.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23.
The Moroccan Lounge show is $15-$20, the Glass House gig is $15-$18.
